A simple still life featuring two slices of pineapple arranged on a green glass plate. I was drawn to the contrast between the warm golden yellow of the pineapple and the rich greens of the plate, as well as the reflections and overlapping shapes created by the glass.
I wanted to capture the freshness of the fruit while exploring the strong color relationship between yellow and green and the way light moves across the plate and table.
Oil on linen, 12 × 12 inches.
