A luminous still life featuring a yellow lily in a clear glass vase. I was drawn to the delicate variations of yellow in the petals and the subtle reflections created by the glass, especially where the green leaves and stems appear through the vase.
I wanted to capture the quiet beauty of the flower and the way natural light reveals subtle shifts of color across the petals, glass, and surrounding surface.
Oil on linen, 12 × 12 inches.
