A quiet still life featuring a red teacup filled with warm tea and a small cookie on a red saucer. I was drawn to the rich red tones of the cup and saucer, contrasted with the warm pink background and the subtle colors of the surrounding objects.
I wanted to capture the cozy atmosphere of this simple everyday arrangement and the way light brings out the warmth, reflections, and subtle shifts of color across the tea, ceramic, and linen.
Oil on linen, 12 × 12 inches.
